CTC has instructed that the transparent blue USB isolator and the connected USB stick inside the Cassia gateway enclosure must be removed in their entirety.
The photographs below show the gateway enclosure and the two USB devices that must be removed.
Important safety information
Only carry out this work when it is safe to isolate the gateway and in accordance with your site’s electrical and maintenance procedures.
The gateway must be completely disconnected from its power supply before the enclosure is opened.
If anything inside the gateway differs from the photographs, or if you are uncertain at any stage, stop and contact IntelliAM before proceeding.

Removal instructions
- Completely disconnect the gateway from its power supply before opening the enclosure.
- Remove the rubber caps covering the enclosure screws.
- Remove the screws and carefully lift off the enclosure cover.
- Locate the transparent blue USB isolator and USB stick shown in the photograph above.
- Disconnect and remove both the transparent blue USB isolator and the USB stick in their entirety.
- Check that the red enclosure seal is clean, undamaged and correctly seated.
- Replace the enclosure cover, then refit the screws and rubber caps.
- Leave the gateway completely disconnected from power for at least 30 seconds.
- Reconnect the gateway to its power supply.
Confirming completion
Once power has been restored, please reply to IntelliAM and confirm:
- The site and gateway where the work was carried out.
- That both the USB stick and the transparent blue USB isolator were removed.
- That the gateway was fully power cycled.
- The date and approximate time when power was restored.
Once we receive your confirmation, IntelliAM will check that the gateway and its connected sensors are communicating correctly.
If the gateway’s internal components differ from the photographs, or if you have any questions or concerns, stop and contact IntelliAM before continuing.
